Conditions We Treat

There are many presentations and combinations of conditions that clients can have and they all affect each person differently. An assessment by a Doctor of Physical Therapy can determine which conditions can be treated by a therapist, or may benefit from additional medical intervention. We want to work with your physician to give you the best results possible! Treatment by a physical therapist is very inclusive as we are licensed to perform many types of treatments that other providers do not have the training, skill, or licensing to safely provide including dry needling and internal/intra-oral (inside the mouth for TMJ problems) treatments.

Removal or damage to lymph node from surgery or radiation therapy
Chronic Venous Insufficiency

A physical therapist can help get necessary items to treat swelling and lymphedema including:
Compression garments (sleeves, stockings, gloves, velcro, etc)
Pneumatic compression pump

Chronic or Acute Neck Pain, Temporomandibular (TMJ) Pain, and Chronic Headaches

While there are many potential causes for this type of pain, many times a prominent component either causing or worsening pain is muscle spasm and tightniess, which restrictions movement, blood flow, and healing.
Myofascial release, trigger point release, cervical traction, dry needling, and posture correction/exercises can significantly reduce this muscle spasm and pain, and improve quality of life and function

Patient Testimonial

[Before physical therapy] "The muscles in my hips and pelvic floor were really tight so it constantly felt like I had to urinate. It made doing daily activities hard because that was all I could focus on. Since pt, my quality of living has been much better and I can actually do activities without constantly being bothered by, and focusing on, that sensation. It was great! Katie worked with the issues I had, and always had multiple options and ideas that could help with my problems. I also really liked that she would have conversations and just talk to me. It made it a lot more of a relaxing experience. To be honest, no. I thought the whole process was great and Katie handled my issues very well. "
